Spencer Bonnie, Next Executive Director

After an extensive and rigorous search, Achieve Brown County’s Executive Committee is very pleased and proud to announce that Spencer Bonnie has accepted the position of Executive Director.

Spencer came to ABC last October with a breadth and depth of insights, perspectives, knowledge and experiences from 23 years of championing youth development and collective impact at both the local and national level, most notably with the YMCA. Throughout his career, he has also held multiple senior-level leadership positions and worked as a leadership and organizational development consultant.

After serving as the Interim Executive Director over the past six months, the Executive Team is confident that Spencer’s talents, gifts, skills and accomplishments in leading ABC through this period of transition will build on the organization’s success and give shape to its vision, direction and impact for years to come. In short, Spencer not only earned this opportunity through his recent efforts, but he is absolutely the right person for the job. When asked from where he gains his inspirations for leading ABC, Spencer shared:

“From the very beginning of my career, I have been most passionate about one thing: helping young people overcome whatever barriers stand in their way to realize their full potential and thrive. I am thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to pursue that passion through the work of ABC, its many stakeholders, and the community my family and I call home.”

This leadership transition is just another milestone in ABC’s brief but proud history characterized by continual learning, growing, and reflection – always centering on our key stakeholders, the collective work that your organizations do, and, most importantly, the young people we all serve. We are confident that Spencer Bonnie will lead us into a new era of building a truly equitable Brown County in which ALL our community’s young people have what they need to succeed in school, work and life.
