Our Why
In 2011, following the release of the inaugural Brown County LIFE Study, our community convened for a Summit to analyze the data and take action to improve it. A Top 5 Priority at the end of the Summit was to improve our “Cradle-to-Career” systems. In response to this priority, our community worked to launch Achieve Brown County. In the last 10 years, we’ve built foundational partnerships and structures necessary to carry out our mission to use data and rally community to co-create equitable conditions so every young person can thrive.
We are members of the national StriveTogether Network and have created a community vision of a Brown County where cradle-to-career systems are equitable for every young person regardless of race, income, zip code or circumstance.
Event Description
At this event we will celebrate 10 years of collective impact and launch our strategic plan. We will share updates on current work
around literacy (Reading for the Future initiative) and give an update on the state of cradle-to-career outcomes in Brown County. We’ll hear from partners and talk about our vision for the next 10 years. Our work will lead to more youth on a path toward economic mobility: The ability of an individual or family to achieve economic success, power, and autonomy, while feeling valued in their community.
