Achieve Brown County unites our community around what kids need to THRIVE from cradle to career.

Our
Vision

What do we want to become

a Brown County where cradle-to-career systems are equitable for every young person, regardless of race, income, zip code or circumstance.

Our Mission

What do we do?

We use data and rally community to co-create equitable conditions so every young person can thrive.

Supporting our Youth “Cradle to Career”

Cradle to career is about supporting the systems that surround our young people at every stage of life.
No matter where they start, we help create a clear and supported path to thrive.

It recognizes that success isn’t shaped by one moment or one system.

The 7 Outcomes We Track

These outcomes help us understand how children and youth are doing across their full journey. Not just in school, but in life.

1. Kindergarten Readiness

Children enter school ready to learn, with the skills and support needed to succeed from day one.

2. Early Grade Reading

By the end of third grade, children are reading at grade level. This is a key milestone that predicts future success.

3. Middle School Engagement

Youth stay engaged in school, attend regularly, and feel connected during these critical transition years.

4. High School Graduation

Students graduate on time, opening doors to future opportunities.

5. Postsecondary Enrollment

Young adults pursue education or training beyond high school.

6. Postsecondary Completion

Young adults complete education or training beyond high school in 6 years.

7. Career Readiness & Employment

Young people enter the workforce with the skills, support, and opportunities needed for long-term stability.

How We Do Our Work

The challenges facing kids and families are complex and connected. Creating change takes time, collaboration, and people from across the community working together toward shared goals.

Voices to Policy

We create space for community voices to help shape policies that impact kids and families.

Our role is to bring people together, share information, and move solutions forward collectively.

Data Work

We collect, analyze & share data so our community can make informed decisions.

Our data helps partners understand what’s working, where gaps exist, & how to take action together.

Collaborative Action

We convene and support Action Teams made up of community partners and organizations.

These teams focus on specific outcomes and work together toward meaningful progress.

Framework to Change

The Collective Impact Approach. We use this framework in all areas of our organization. Collective impact brings people together in a structured way to achieve social change.

1. We create a common agenda for change-making.

2. We agree to relevant and consistent data collection.

3. We do different work to achieve a unified goal.

4. We engage with partners & community to maintain trust and motivation.

5. Have a backbone staff to support the whole partnership and push forward change.
