WE ARE THE

Achieve Brown County Collective Impact Partnership

Achieve Brown County is a movement of individuals and organizations committed to improving systems that affect a young people’s ability to thrive. We have three pillars of work:

Partnership Advancement

We maintain a common agenda, engage in policy work, and ensure diverse individuals and organizations are involved in the Collective Impact Partnership. Learn more here.

Data Work

We analyze and visualize data for a Youth Outcome Dashboard and make it available to our community for decision making. We also use data for our decision making and to drive the Collaborative Action work we facilitate. Learn more here.

Collaborative Action

We convene, facilitate, and support Action Teams to improve one or more of the population level outcomes on our Youth Outcome Dashboard. Right now we are focused on improving Kindergarten Readiness and Early Grade Reading. Learn more here.

We recognize that no one nonprofit, school, business, or parent can do it alone which is why all of us have come together to figure out root causes of systemic issues, gather data, and to take action.

Vision and Mission

Our vision is…

a Brown County where cradle-to-career systems are equitable for every young person, regardless of race, income, zip code or circumstance.

Our mission is…

to use data and rally community to co-create equitable conditions so every young person can thrive.

Our Values

Community: we focus on what connects us rather than what separates us and communicate to each other with transparency and integrity.

Courage: we fail forward even when no one is watching, have the tough conversations no one likes having and take risks in pursuit of results.

Equity: we seek and value all types of diversity, put equity into action daily and strive to dismantle inequities including those present in ourselves, our organization and our communities.

Progress: we share learning and progress in real time, view professional development as personal growth and fix problems with continuous improvement.

Results: we use data and evidence to make decisions and hold each other accountable for getting results.

WHO IS THE

Achieve Brown County Collective Impact Partnership

We are a community-wide movement of individuals and organizations that use data and rally community to co-create equitable conditions so every young person can thrive.

We are comprised of three distinct groups of people:

Our Collective Impact Partners

Our Collective Impact Partners drive our work. Whether you are an individual or organization, you become a partner when you serve on Action Teams, our Data Advisory Council, our Community Council, as an office volunteer and more.

Our Staff / Backbone Team

Our staff add expertise in facilitation, data, communications, fundraising, and more. They convene, facilitate and support Partners across a variety of teams and committees, analyze and visualize data and help hold the entire Collective Impact Partnership accountable to results.

Our Leadership Bodies

Not all Collective Impact Partnerships are standalone nonprofits, but ours is! We have two leadership bodies, our Board of Directors (governing body) and our Community Council (voice of community). Together, they set our vision and strategic direction.

StriveTogether Network

Their Future. Our Mission.

The Achieve Brown County Collective Impact Partnership is one of 70+ communities across the country who are members of the National StriveTogether Network. StriveTogether is a national movement with a clear purpose: helping every child succeed in school and in life from cradle to career, regardless of race, ethnicity, zip code or circumstance. Learn more about the Network we are part of here.

A Common Theory of Action™

Members of the StriveTogether Network use StriveTogether’s Theory of Action™ framework to shape how we change systems that impact opportunity for young people, while learning from what’s working elsewhere in our network. Learn more about StriveTogether’s Theory of Action™ here.

A Coast to Coast Network

The Cradle to Career Network builds on successes from coast to coast, representing nearly 70 communities across 30 states and Washington, D.C. Together, we commit to achieving better outcomes for every child and reach 14 million young people annually. View a map of network members here.
