Who We Are | The Partners | Our Community Council
Be part of change.
Engage. Speak up.
We are our Community’s Voice
Members of the Community Council are Youth Advocates. Youth Advocates are changemakers committed to tackling issues and building a stronger, more connected community. Youth Advocates are positive changemakers. It starts with us. We commit to making this a better community for everyone.
Youth Advocates
- believe change is possible,
- listen carefully to learn from other people’s expertise,
- speak up to share what they know and have experienced, and
- work together to make lasting change in systems and structures.

For change to occur in our community, it is crucial to include parents, youth, residents and organizational leaders in conversations that occur across community sectors.
Shared Power
The Community Council will work to ensure that power is shared across sectors and levels within the Collective Impact Partnership. Community engagement means elevating voices that share lived expertise. Shared power around youth advocacy means investing in hearing and acting upon what members of the community—youth and parents especially—share from their experiences.
Representation
The Community Council will have 3-5 parent voices, 3-5 youth voices and at least 15 voices representing the following sectors in our community: Oneida Nation, Healthcare, Public schools, Private schools, Higher education, Early childhood education, Identity-based resource centers, Government (city and county), Nonprofits supporting young people, Faith communities, Housing organizations, Business/Industry sector and Philanthropy.
