FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Green Bay, WI – Achieve Brown County is proud to announce a $50,000 grant from Google.org, Google’s philanthropic arm, underscoring the company’s commitment to advancing community-led solutions and empowering organizations dedicated to creating lasting change.

As a Collective Impact Partnership, Achieve Brown County addresses critical issues impacting the well-being of children and families in the region. This generous, flexible funding will allow the organization to strengthen its efforts in literacy, education and system-wide improvements, helping ensure every child in Brown County can thrive from cradle to career.

“Grants like this allow us to address our most pressing needs and invest strategically in initiatives that align with our mission,” said Sarah Beckman, Executive Director at Achieve Brown County. “Google.org’s support will have a far-reaching impact on our ability to drive meaningful change in our community.”

Achieve Brown County is focused on literacy as a foundation for lifelong success. With only 53% of third graders in Brown County reading at grade level, the organization’s Reading for the Future initiative aims to bring together educators, families, and community leaders to improve literacy outcomes. By tackling systemic barriers and advancing proven strategies, Achieve Brown County is building a future where every child has the tools to succeed.

“With an office in Madison, Google has been proud to call Wisconsin home since 2007,” said Dan Harbeke, Regional Head of External Affairs and Public Policy at Google. “We are committed to supporting organizations like Achieve Brown County that are helping to create lasting change for families in the state by tackling critical issues like literacy and education.”
